NEAL TROTMAN

Postby Mirfielder » "Mon Mar 01, 2010 10:31 pm"

What do our fans think about Neal Trotman now that he's figured in our last 8 games?

I must admit, the first time I watched him in the home game against Carlisle, I thought LC had made a huge mistake and had signed a "Donkey". However, I've now got to say that I am beginning to warm to him, although I have only seen him in the 3 home games he has played to date.

I thought he did better in the Brighton match and even better still against Leeds and since his arrival we have yet to taste defeat, with 4 wins and 4 draws with 4 clean sheets and only 6 goals conceded.

He has certainly got a good physique for a defender and also showed a good turn of speed against Leeds last saturday and after my initial concerns, I think he his now looking like a good signing for us.

My personal opinion is that he was very nervous on his home debut and him and Peter Clarke struggled to get to grips with each others game and develop some sort of understanding. However, I think they are now forming a strong partnership and I would be interested to know the views of other fans, particularly those who manage to see our away games.

I thought beckford looked terrified of him on saturday, he has certainly added a physical presence to the back line, and seems to have the beginnings of a good understanding with clarke, his distribution has also improved, i agree he did look nervous in his first couple of home games, heffernan has also improved the team, and i cant wait till the big jessy gets his gloves off and starts using the long throw ins he has in his locker,

Have no fear Mirf "Boots" is here .. Bet Mnt's sPacemakers just blown a fuse .. ha ha .. Oh heck though my 1st comment's gonna go against someone who I generally find much agreement with .. (aPologies for psuydonym been trying for 2 days to log in and post this .. not sure if they've banned me in my normal name?)

Sorry Mo .. I felt pigs Trotters was TOTALLY at fault for both goals against us on Saturday .. In both instances the Leeds scorers were stood right alongside him and in neither case did he even so much as blow them a glasgow kiss ..

Just watch the replays on telly anyone if your in any doubt ..

For the 2nd goal Peter Clarke .. Surely MAN MOUNTAIN of the match went ballistic at Porky Piggy Jack and then looked despairingly towards Clark and threw his hands in the air as if to say what the he-- is 'this' your trying to palm me off with and shoving alongside me .. He's making me look like like a right Proper Daffodil .. ?

Have to say I was surprised when Kay came back out for the 2nd half as clearly he'd taken a hefty dead leg or associated knock in the 1st half which left him playing the rest of the match at 70% and as I don't rate him even when he's a 100% that didn't help our quest for The Win either ..

Lee Clark (SURELY the worst man manager this club has ever had) seemed relieved and happy with a draw .. and that disgusts me ..

His idea of ManManagement is to .. Simply drop a player right out of the reckoning (Robbie Simpson etc) and just bang a load more (hopeful also rans) into the club to replace em with ..

I mean lets face facts .. Who has improved their game under this dreadful manager ? .. None !! apart from Lee Novak and we ALL of us knew (and said so on this forum) he had it in him to improve and go all the way anyway ..

As for Heffernan .. to be fair he was up against one of the finest wingers in the div and will have much easier games than that this season, he is one guy who I suspect will come good though I gather Skarzy's doing well on loan .. So I say .. Skarzy for the vacant England slot !!

Whilst I like always to think of myself as a positive thinking guy I do feel our run will be bitterly snatched off us tomorrow night against The St's and partly because we gave our all on Sat and our players will still be feeling this in their bodies on Tuesday .. I'm not afraid to be wrong about this and if I am then I'll be so happy anyway .. but thats my real feeling ..

Hey look .. Good to be back and sorry to post what I know you will virtually ALL find such tender agreeable thoughts ha ha .. ? .. Not like me at all that is it .. Hope i've not returned with the Mildness Virus ..

Bootsy,

You go away and desert us and Bingo, we go 10 games without a defeat, but as soon a you come back we get hammered 5-0 by the Saints.

Do you know what Bootsy, I've just realised that it's all down to you - you're a fur king JINX.

I was only expecting a point at the most, so as long we bounce back away at Gillingham on Saturday and pick up all 3 points, tonight's result although a set back, won't have been a disaster.

PS: There's no chance of you b-ggering off for another couple of month's is there?
