Whats Deano Doing .. ?

First we have the unedifying spectacle of our chief executive grovelling and pleading for his licence not to be taken away on the basis that neither he .. nor the club .. could afford to pay his taxi fares to and from work .. and yet now here we are with Lee Clark and his many and Varied Coaches .. Plus his .. Massive .. first team squad .. ALL being Cradled and Pampered in the lap of luxury with a week away on the South Coast ..

Hey and we're not talking guest houses here neither, no, we're talking full blown hotels .. And wait for it .. Yes with facilities too ..

My word this must've cost £1000's of pounds .. So I ask then ..

How can that be justified .. ? .. Not so much as one solitary point returned either .. C'mon guys .. Who's taking the mick ..

This is only topped by Deano deciding not to produce the funds (lets face it, most of us surely expected) to bring in an Instantly Recognisable Full Back in the Jan transfer window to give us all a fair chance of an half decent promotion run in ..

Yet out of thin air he suddenly Waves Wads and Oodles of pounds in the air to buy the remaining club shares ..

Whats going on guys .. ?

Anyone (within the club or out) care to comment and square that circle ?

Oh and just before The Fatlad bangs in with a typical Gillingham Backlash Gob full (because lets face it he's gonna be angry today and looking for someone to shout and bawl at) with a .. "Its his money and he can do what the he-- he likes" !!

Just think on how much we Huddersfield Town fans Put into the Pot week in week out ..

I reckon we are entitled to 'ave a pop' at unneccessary extravagance when it rears its ugly head ..

Mmmm, not good results considering the lads had a nice week long team bonding excercise, imo not a great idea to take loads of young lads away and stay in upmarket hotels, a little boozing by a few perhaps ? maybe we would have been better off staying on one of the many forces bases found on the south coast, far cheaper and a good way to show these overpaid footballers the real world, albeit a forces one, assault courses and team bonding rather than swish rooms, playstations and boozing and gambling with terry mac.

Hey cheers for the post Fatlad .. I was beginning to feel a bit unwanted ..

I know the topics been worked well through on another forum now so not much more to add .. but I did load it here first ..

Tell you what .. there's gonna be some rumblings down Leeds Rd this week don't you think .. I can't begin to think of the team they'll be putting out can you ..

Surely have to be some major changes yeh .. Surely .. I'd be fascinated to hear/yours anyones suggested changes ..

I see Colchester have only managed a DRAW tonight .. We just need Carlisle to do us a BIG favour tomorrow night agin Millwall .. and that'd make Sat all the more worth fighting for and winning ..

I still think we will think we will finish above Millwall and Swindon, and make the play offs, due to us having a larger higher quality squad than both the aforementioned.
The players we hoped for in the transfer window, didnt, wouldnt, or couldnt be brought into the club for whatever reason or other, a centre half, left back, central midfielder and a beefcake centre forward,
The jan window is always a difficult window to bring players in, inflated demands, not wanting to lose players etc, those we brought to the club were probably not the primary candidates, i certainly hope not, from what i have seen so far the heff looked promising, but did say he found the weather and speed of our game alien to himself, improvement on what we had, but is he now injured ? surely he must be, one poor half v the saints, not the scapegoat is he ?
Trotman is big n strong, he may posses a bit of pace, but has the reactions of a tortoise, and has a turning circle comparable to the queen mary, he just doesnt look like playing football comes naturally to him, overall imo no better than nathan C, Ecclestone is another Robinson, fast, young, lacking experience, composure and self discipline, now bnned, another signing who hasnt improved the team, Have nt yet seen Big Kris, so cant comment,
Didnt particularly rate any of the players, ainsworth apart, who have left the club either on loan or permanently, and none are setting their host clubs alight,
Seen some smashing footy at times this season, we are still in the mix, and looking forward to saturday,
by the way boots i do now go on the 606 occasionally, as this sometimes wont let me on, usually saying wrong password etc, am sure a poster with your intellect will soon suss out who i am, nice to see the old lets have a terrace section bubbling under the surface, heres hoping for a good game v the canaries, and for the stewards to have another dose of chill pills.

Hello Fatlad, I am glad you agree with me about Trotman, nowt but a Donkey in my opinion. As for your comment regarding players who are out on loan, what about Joe Skarz, surely helping Shrewsbury to the play off, and Jevons scoring for toffee, Ainsworth did'nt have his heart in our club just like Robinson who says he has but we all know differently.
Ecclestone should be sent back, along with Trotters, and give Berrett and Nathan Clark a run!.

Fatlad as ever you make some fabulously interesting and valid points .. and it has to be said this site does display them in a far more vivid and understandable manner BUT oh I so agree with the absolute clumsiness of it since its refurb ..

I'm still unable to log in under my own original name and to be fair to Andrew Jackson he's worked quite hard with me to find a fix but to no avail .. hence little or no postings from me as one can quickly lose heart .. its a shame though ..

I don't even like the header .. Announcements .. post from A J .. it seems to dull and date everything below it and imo should be pulled immediately ..

Mo makes a sharp point ref Joe Skarz as I too have tried to monitor his prog there .. and their fans seem to really feel he's done a great job and has come on a pace .. Shame Berrett couldn't have been found a 'holding' club for a while as being one of his biggest supporters I'm now almost dreading his entry onto our own pitch .. lets face it (having not been allowed by the clown that is clark to play little or no REAL football) he'll be so off the pace and unready the kid won't stand a chance .. After lay offs for whatever reason one of my faves Dave Mirf used to take 6 matches to get into the league one groove .. so how J B would go on is anyones guess ..

Fatlad .. I've been away for a bit .. truth is I arrived back a bit groggy and unwell too and yet so pleased to hear your knocking about a bit on 606 .. My Patience n Diligence are thin at the moment so give me your handle there .. Or at least a a bit of a clue .. new ones seem to be darn unda, pabryce, Terrier in italy or Non Conform .. ? ? ?
If you do clue me up you have my word that like Mirfielder I will treat it/you with confidence and respect ..and though doubtless we will still disagree pretty fiercly Mirf will confirm if ever either of us are taking a punching on there there's a sort of useful Examiner Forum loyalty bond that kicks in from time to time ..

Skarz should be brought back if we remain in this division, if and tis a big if, we do clamber out of this dire almost southern division three, then he aint gonna be good enough for the championship, As for Jevons, no, no, no, he has found his level, most of the goals he has this season are pens, too slow, no fight, too soft, he had plenty of opps here and never impressed me, nice touch n technique but no fire in his belly.

Cheers Fatz and have to say thats fascinating .. Although I don't think we've yet locked 606 horns I've just now read a few of your posts and you do seem to have a more measured, different writing style on their .. ?

Maybe the same goes for us all .. and in any way 606 is a bit more stifling and restrictive in what expressions and contents allowed ..

I have to say I genuinelly prefer your freer flowing, sharp cutting, posts on here fatz .. but hey, its minor detail ..

I mean to say ..Full International Posters like .. Mirfielder .. Seemingly play on several forums a la DATM etc etc ..
WOW that must be REALLY time consuming and mindhurting .. i've all on keeping up with these two ..

Woh, its let me on again, have to agree boots, the posters on this forum seem to have a little more depth in their thoughts and usually come across as being more knowledgable than some on 606, i started going on there primarily to use the rugby league forum, as you well know i follow both the towns sides, i have noticed that many of my early posts were not published or quickly deleted by either the moderators or those who disagreed with my opinion and were not able to debate why they disagreed, as i am sure you will have found this out on many occasions.
