Tank Trap!

Postby idlejohn » "Sun Feb 28, 2010 11:32 am"

Coming through Flockton last night on the A637 Barnsley Road I came upon the latest fiendish traffic calming measure - the tank trap! At least that is what it felt like when my car hit it!

It is between the Pinfold Lane junction and before the traffic lights heading towards Grange Moor and could be just opposite the church. So if you have to come through there be warned as it is a deep, deep pothole.

I have informed KMC through their website about it now lets see how long it takes before it is attended to bearing in mind that this is a very busy road during the week.

The state of the main roads is truly appalling. The main Wakefield road at Aspley has Pot holes which have been there since the cold spell opened them up. I think they should make it a four lane Bus lane, thus at a stroke solving the car damage problems and achieving the councils ultimate solution to all traffic problems.

Maybe we should start some sort of record of road repairs on here some where :?:

Might be useful for every one who wants to try and claim :?:

Then again it may only get abused by those trying to make a few quid

Has anyone in the Council estimated how much it will cost to properly repair our roads?

It must be enormous.

We can't go on like this, it's ridiculous.
